Woman I-IX (series)
I have had a curiosity about the lives of other lived experiences when it comes to the diverse and nuanced concept of womanhood or femininity since I began to understand that it was more to it than just being born a woman. The concept of gender itself became less strict and binary as I became an adult, and instead it flows between the different factions, tropes, representations and biologies. This series was an expression of this notion with faces and features only in minimal detail but expressive, and diverse characteristics manifesting in each study.
Being a woman is not only singular experience, but a diverse array of experiences that interweave, overlap, knot and stain each other.
